Wearing Fur

Just a short one for tonight...

A vast majority of people who are offended by the wearing of real fur are perfectly fine with people eating beef, pork, chicken, etc. So what does this tell us? That the big moral objection to fur is the fact that people are wearing it instead of eating it. Think about it. Fewer people care about leather than about mink. Maybe if we sat on mink too then there would be more respect for their fur. I don't know. It's just strange to me.

There are so many things... First, I never said what I supported. Second, even if I support wearing fur that doesn't make me conservative. Third, I'm confused how even if A and B are true how that would make me a hack. Fourth, you speak of animal egalitarianism which is exactly what I propose is a contradiction to most people as they eat meat but shun fur. Anywho, I enjoyed being called a conservative hack. It takes a person with a lot of back bone and nerve to ignore the rest of my blog and the eccentricities of even this post and call me that honestly. Kudos for that.

My Own Mind

The human mind is a duality.  That is to say, there are two people inside most people's heads.  It is the interaction of these two entities that determines who you are.   The first is the sum total of all of your experiences, it is a body of knowledge that you reflect on when thinking or meditating.  It is not the consciousness that we traditionally think of as our mind.  It's behind that.  It's the voice that alters your mood, makes irrational fears float to the surface in times of stress, and ultimately has a significant impact on you as a person.   The second is your consciousness.  It is the core of you as a person.  It is the voice you hear in your head when thinking or reading this sentence.  Some do not have that voice, incidentally.  For instance, those that are born deaf often have that "voice" represent as images.  Others simply don't have it.  This voice is the real you.  It's the part that you in...

My Favorite / My Least Favorite

My favorite color is green because it is the color of new life. I enjoy food, granted I used to enjoy a greater variety, nevertheless it is one of my favorite things. Bad food is the sign of a bad day. So, DC food... Haha! I love music. But not all music. Primarily rock, classic hard rock, and classic metal. Of course, there are exceptions. My favorite song/performance of all time is Queen's "Somebody to Love" from On Fire Live at the Bowl (1982). It's just a profound performance and an even more phenomenal back story.
