Another Year Passed

I shall rain hellfire on my enemies,
acid their skin and boil their blood.
I will scorch the earth
and destroy man's inclinations.

Creators of social norm
and dictators of progress,
you are a pall on the human race.
We are all worthy of respect.
We are all worthy of acceptance.
We are all man, one and the same.

Upon this eve as I pack up and move on,
and leave behind a year's worth of life,
I can't help but see how you've changed me.
Time you are a foolish old man who's lost track of himself.
You are bane to my existence.
And yet we continue onwards in a marriage of temporal irregularity,
never ceasing, never returning, always moving on.

Mystery of the unknown, you mock me.
Your affixed hand clutching at the contents of my brain,
stewing about in my thoughts
and running amok with my life.

It's time to go and I'm not willing.
But as time permits I say good-bye,
as tradition dictates, it will be solemn and dignified,
and as the shroud of what's to come continues to blind me,
I look back over these past months and see.
Another year gone without much fanfare,
and so I move on into the future,
to do so again all over again,
whenever time loses it's mind again.

Timelessly,

FLYFREEFOREVER!
